ABOUT ME

Sabine Laukhuf

During my many years of working in day-care centers as a preschool teacher, schools, and special education, I have always been enthusiastic about making music with children and young people. Fueled by my passion, I pursued advanced education at the “Bundesakademie für Musikalische Jugendbildung” (= “Federal Academy for Youth Music Education”) in Trossingen, Germany, and also completed numerous additional training courses, including the speech development program “Singing, Moving, Speaking.”

Since 2013, I have been working as a freelance teacher for elementary music education in day-care centers and primary schools, while offering seminars for teachers/pedagogues, and teaching piano. My passion is to convey music to children in a safe and supportive atmosphere, a sense of “being at home,” in such a way that they are strengthened in their personalities by everything this medium entails and (are therefore) encouraged to make music in a lasting way.
